Salesforce, a global leader in SaaS and the maker of the Force.com platform, needed to modernize DevOps to support roughly 1,200 developers across 60–70 teams. An aging on‑prem datacenter and static Jenkins agents made upgrades slow, maintenance-heavy and costly, limiting developer productivity, scalability and security.
The team migrated CI/CD to CloudBees CI on Amazon EKS, adopting Kubernetes, on‑demand agents and configuration‑as‑code. The move eliminated dozens of always‑on agents, cut upgrade effort from three weeks with four people to 2–3 hours with one, enabled more frequent updates, improved scalability and security, reduced costs and accelerated developer innovation.
