A CloudBees Case Study
Pepperl+Fuchs, a German manufacturer of industrial sensors with 5,600 employees and €550M in sales, faced growing administrative overhead as R&D teams ran separate Jenkins/Hudson instances and the company relied on a scattered set of Windows Task Scheduler jobs. The IT team needed a central CI service that kept each team’s jobs secure and visible only to them, reduced one-off scheduled tasks and manual monitoring, and provided professional support to reduce operational risk.
They implemented CloudBees Core as a centralized CI and automation platform, using folder-based organization, RBAC tied to Active Directory, Jenkins Pipelines and templates, and migrated Windows-scheduled tasks into centrally managed jobs. The change improved reliability and monitoring of key business processes, freed engineers to focus on development, streamlined onboarding/offboarding, and increased software quality and delivery velocity.
