Scorpion Bay Hotel, a Mexican property popular with surfers and Baja 1000 off‑road riders, needed a way to streamline operations, reduce guest emails and confusion, and grow direct bookings. They turned to Cloudbeds, using its property management system (PMS) and integrated features—like the calendar-based room status and the Cloudbeds Facebook booking app—to replace manual workflows and better serve their niche market.

Cloudbeds implemented its PMS, constant product upgrades, and social‑booking tools so Scorpion Bay could mark rooms clean/dirty from the calendar and accept reservations directly on Facebook. As a result, Scorpion Bay doubled revenue after one year with Cloudbeds, significantly cut guest emails and confusion, and now drives substantial direct bookings through Facebook and Instagram advertising.
