Case Study: HOCO Entertainment grows customer database and boosts engagement while keeping visitors safe during the pandemic with Cloud4Wi

A Cloud4Wi Case Study

Preview of the HOCO Entertainment Case Study

How HOCO grew its customer database while keeping everyone safe during the pandemic

HOCO Entertainment, one of Canada’s largest tourism organizations that runs Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, needed a way to collect on-site customer data from an open, ungated attraction so it could better understand visitor behavior and retarget guests. To solve this, HOCO chose Cloud4Wi’s guest WiFi/application suite (deployed over Extreme Networks infrastructure) to capture opt-in contact details and on-site behavioral data while staying privacy-compliant.

Cloud4Wi delivered a customizable, bilingual WiFi login (email/phone/Facebook) that fed profiles into HOCO’s CRM via APIs and used AI-driven analytics to map entrance points, dwell time and popular areas. The results: 1,400+ customer profiles collected per week, 70% subscribed to promotions, a 79% drop in bounce rate and a 178% uplift in open rates in year one; Cloud4Wi’s splash pages also supported COVID-19 communications and enabled far more effective, targeted retargeting.
