Natixis Global Asset Management, a global asset manager with more than $874 billion in assets under management, wanted to modernize its traditional IT operations while moving data centers and evaluating public cloud as an alternative. The firm turned to Cloud Technology Partners (CTP) for a proof of concept and guidance on AWS cloud adoption, application migration, and DevOps practices to improve agility, speed to market, and alignment between business and IT.

Cloud Technology Partners implemented a full AWS migration strategy using its Cloud Adoption Program, helping Natixis build a secure production cloud environment with services including VPC, EC2, S3, Glacier, CloudWatch, SQS, and CloudTrail. CTP also supported application refactoring, an agile Jenkins/Git-based release process, and migration of 1B of data from on-premises MS SQL Server to MySQL on AWS, along with ETL migration. The result was faster application delivery, improved flexibility and agility, stronger security and compliance controls, and reduced licensing and operational costs.
