AFL Telecommunications needed a faster, more mobile way to test, manage, and report on fiber optic cable work in the field. The company partnered with Cloud Technology Partners (CTP) to design and develop a cloud-native, tablet-based testing application called aeRos, built to streamline workflows that had traditionally relied on PCs, USB connections, and time-consuming manual reporting.

Cloud Technology Partners implemented an iterative MVP-to-production development process and deployed the solution on Google Cloud Platform using Google App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and DataStore. The new platform enabled remote project setup, automatic data collection and reporting, real-time job monitoring, and secure collaboration across users and third parties, helping AFL reduce on-site manual labor, lower the margin for error, and speed product development and global deployment.
