Walmart's OneOps cloud management code comes to GitHub

Walmart, working with Cloud Pro’s CloudPro/OneOps cloud management platform, needed a way to more quickly write, launch, and maintain applications across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. The retailer also wanted an easier-to-manage DevOps solution for its Couchbase-powered data platform, especially during periods of heavy traffic.

Cloud Pro helped Walmart open source its OneOps platform on GitHub, enabling faster app delivery and simpler cloud deployment management. The results included improved performance, scalability, and availability, plus proven success at peak times such as Black Friday, when Walmart spun up tens of thousands of virtual machines to handle online sales traffic.
