ThyssenKrupp chooses Azure for IoT lift tech

Thyssenkrupp turned to Cloud Pro’s Azure-based IoT cloud technology to support its MAX lift management system, aiming to tackle the costly challenge of elevator downtime. The system collects real-time data on repairs, part replacements, and maintenance so engineers can identify problems before outages occur.

Cloud Pro’s solution uses Azure analytics to estimate each elevator’s remaining life and alert field engineers to the most serious issues early. The result is expected to cut lift outages by more than half, helping Thyssenkrupp reduce the more than 190 million hours elevators spend out of service each year.
