RAC chooses Getronics as cloud-based IT provider

RAC, the motoring services provider, needed a scalable cloud solution to handle seasonal spikes in demand, with callouts rising from 5,000 in summer to 12,000 in bad weather. RAC chose Cloud Pro, using Microsoft Azure-based IaaS and DRaaS services, to support its move to the cloud.

Cloud Pro implemented infrastructure for staff in Birmingham, Bristol, and Manchester, along with data centre management and remote monitoring across the business. The result was a more agile, flexible IT environment, with three levels of automation reducing service desk calls and costs, while pay-as-you-go services delivered additional savings for RAC.
