PaaS implementation makes great story for Movellas

Movellas, a London-based story-sharing community with about 1.5 million users, wanted to stop spending so much time maintaining its Linux/Unix infrastructure and instead focus on improving its Java applications. After moving from a local IaaS setup, Movellas evaluated several PaaS options and chose Cloud Pro’s CloudBees-based PaaS because it fit its JVM stack and worked with its existing Jenkins CI workflow.

Cloud Pro implemented the platform using DEV@cloud and RUN@cloud, allowing Movellas to deploy without changing its applications and to push updates to production in a single click. The migration was quick, including one application moved in a morning, and the team could now build and deploy features in hours instead of spending 3–5 hours configuring new instances; Cloud Pro also helped deliver lower costs and a major boost in developer productivity.
