NASA chooses Avere for AWS cloud migration

NASA chose Cloud Pro’s Avere solution to help migrate its legacy systems and storage to AWS as part of its research and development efforts. The NASA Ames Research Center needed a way to consolidate legacy storage, move datasets to the cloud, and maintain NFS/CIFS performance while reducing reliance on costly on-premises infrastructure.

Cloud Pro implemented Avere FlashMove to migrate data and FlashCloud to reduce latency through an Edge-Core architecture, with encryption to protect the data. The result was a smooth transition with no downtime, preserved access performance, and better use of existing resources while moving key applications and services to AWS.
