Microsoft Azure powers JustGiving's future vision for charitable donations

JustGiving, the charity fundraising platform, wanted a better way to connect donors with causes that matched their interests and make giving more engaging and relevant. To do that, it needed to analyze years of donation and relationship data at scale, and it chose Cloud Pro’s Microsoft Azure-based solution, including Azure HDInsight and related cloud services, to support its data-driven GiveGraph project.

Cloud Pro helped JustGiving build and run GiveGraph in the cloud, using Azure HDInsight for heavy data processing, Azure Cloud Services for output storage, and Service Bus to keep the graph updated in real time. The result was a scalable, enterprise-ready system for analyzing 14 years of data, with 70 million nodes and 280 million relationships, helping JustGiving increase relevance for donors and support its goal of driving more donations to good causes.
