How Greggs baked SAP into its business

Greggs, the UK bakery and retailer with 11 bakeries and 1,700 outlets, began a five-year Sunrise transformation to centralize operations and become more responsive to customers. To support this, it worked with Cloud Pro and SAP cloud tools to improve procurement, supplier management, and employee training across a large workforce, while keeping the program focused on early business benefits.

Cloud Pro helped Greggs implement SAP Ariba for source-to-contract management across 4,500 suppliers, SAP SuccessFactors for training around 20,000 employees, and a Customer Interaction Centre to handle enquiries more efficiently. The company also rolled out a Purchase to Pay platform to 500 users and is now expanding into forecasting and replenishment across all 1,700 shops, with early quick wins building confidence and buy-in for the wider SAP transformation.
