Hewlett Packard, through its Autonomy business, was dealing with the fallout from a difficult acquisition and needed to restore customer confidence, clarify product direction, and better integrate its software assets into HP. Cloud Pro highlighted how the team focused on making customer success the key metric while positioning cloud and on-premise offerings to meet different business needs.
Cloud Pro also described how Autonomy’s Flow software was embedded into HP’s latest multifunction printers, letting users print files directly from a device via the printer’s screen instead of sending jobs from a PC. The broader solution, including the IDOL big data platform, helped Hewlett Packard apply data analytics across use cases such as email archiving and anomaly detection, and Cloud Pro reported that the company had already archived over one trillion emails for a bank and was ingesting 7–8 billion more each month.
