Specsavers, the optician chain, faced the challenge of modernizing decades-old legacy IT that was limiting efficiency and digital flexibility while it expanded its global retail and online operations. In its transformation program with Cloud Pro, the company also wanted to build a stronger cloud-based foundation for customer data, a worldwide digital presence, and a more streamlined back office.

Cloud Pro supported Specsavers as it moved legacy infrastructure management to Accenture and piloted cloud-based systems such as the eClinicalWorks cloud platform for customer eye records, integrated with CRM, product, ordering, and finance systems. The results include a path to a largely cloud-based global IT environment over the next two to three years, with a single global platform already implemented in New Zealand and planned rollouts in the UK and Australia, plus greater efficiency, flexibility, and a stronger omni-channel customer experience.
