Bestival, the Isle of Wight music festival, needed a more flexible way to keep its mission-critical website running during spikes in traffic such as ticket sales and line-up announcements. Its shared server and existing web infrastructure could not scale properly as attendance grew, creating reliability issues for the festival’s website operations.

Cloud Pro provided a cloud platform using 6DG-owned hardware, with virtual machines created and managed as needed to give Bestival greater flexibility and scalability. The solution helped keep the website operating at an optimal level in the lead-up to and during the four-day event, supporting more than 55,000 attendees and eliminating Bestival’s need to refresh or upgrade its own kit.
