Bitly to migrate its 25bn links to IBM's cloud

Bitly, the link management platform, faced the challenge of improving performance and reducing latency as it handled 25 billion links and billions of monthly clicks worldwide. To support its growing developer, marketer, and customer base, Bitly chose Cloud Pro’s IBM Cloud-based services to migrate its infrastructure, workloads, and APIs.

Cloud Pro helped Bitly move all of its systems to IBM Cloud, including its Universal Behaviour Exchange, so links would load faster and perform better globally. The migration was expected to improve speed across 46 international data centers, lower latency, and enhance delivery for users in hard-to-reach regions, supporting Bitly’s continued growth and improving the experience for more than 11,000 monthly API developers.
