Preview of the SOS International Case Study

SOS International Using Kubernetes to provide emergency assistance in a connected world

SOS International, a provider of emergency medical and travel assistance, faced significant challenges with its fragmented legacy IT systems, which included three monolithic applications and a slow waterfall development approach. This hindered the company's agility and time to market for new digital services. To modernize, they partnered with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem and adopted the RedHat OpenShift platform to gain a more efficient and agile technology foundation.

By implementing a Kubernetes-based solution through the RedHat OpenShift platform provided by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, SOS International dramatically improved its time to market and development agility. The new platform supported a wide range of technologies and enabled the rapid development of new services, while also helping the company attract over 40 new IT hires who were drawn to the modern technology stack.
