Santagostino, an Italian healthcare organization managing a network of outpatient clinics, faced challenges with its tech stack keeping pace with rapid growth and an increase in remote care. Its systems lacked organization and standardization for internal digital services. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation member SparkFabrik partnered with them to address this.

SparkFabrik developed the Samaritan developer platform using the CNCF project Backstage. This centralized services and documentation, streamlined development, and simplified new developer onboarding. The solution reduced the time to set up new environments from 30 to 5 minutes and enabled the creation of over 20 new end-user services within just three months.
