How La Redoute leverages Kubernetes to accelerate deployment of cloud native microservices

La Redoute, a leading retail e-commerce company in Europe, was close to bankruptcy in 2014 and needed to accelerate its digital transformation to compete. Their technology platform was a bottleneck, lacking the velocity and scalability required for rapid development and deployment of new services.

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation's project, Kubernetes, was chosen as the core orchestration platform for this transformation. By implementing a cloud-native solution based on Kubernetes and other CNCF technologies, La Redoute drastically reduced its time from code commit to production from days to less than 10 minutes and increased deployments from 40 to 80 per day, enabling faster business growth and a successful pivot to a pure e-commerce leader.
