Uswitch, a UK-based consumer website for price comparisons, faced challenges with efficiency, scaling, and velocity due to its decentralized infrastructure. Each engineering team managed its own AWS environment with disparate tools, leading to organizational complexity and difficulty scaling. With the help of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation's (CNCF) technologies, including Kubernetes, they sought to bring consistency to their operations.

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation's Kubernetes platform provided a centralized solution. This resulted in a near tripling of the deployment rate, with releases happening up to 100 times a day. Resource utilization on AWS machines improved from 3% to 10%, and the platform's efficiency allowed the improvements to be sustained even as the company grew.
