Case Study: DeFacto accelerates event-driven development with Dapr from CNCF

A Cloud Native Computing Foundation Case Study

Preview of the DeFacto Case Study

How DeFacto migrated to an event-driven architecture

DeFacto, a fashion retail company, faced significant challenges with its large, costly, and hard-to-maintain monolithic application framework. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation's project, Dapr, was identified as a key part of the solution to help them migrate to a modern event-driven microservices architecture.

By leveraging Dapr's APIs, including service invocation and publish & subscribe, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation's technology enabled DeFacto to build a new distributed applications platform. This resulted in over 300 deployments, streamlined development, and the efficient handling of tens of millions of events, dramatically improving agility and manageability.
