Ant Financial, a major financial services provider, faced a significant challenge in managing its hypergrowth and the immense data processing demands of its services like Alipay, which handles hundreds of thousands of transactions per second. To provide reliable services, they required an orchestration solution for their tens-of-thousands-of-node clusters and turned to the vendor, Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).

The solution involved implementing Kubernetes for orchestration, along with other CNCF projects like Prometheus and etcd. This cloud native technology from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation led to a dramatic increase in operational efficiency, with the company reporting at least a tenfold improvement. This allows them to manage a much larger infrastructure output and supports their global scaling efforts.
