Adform Providing monitoring as a service with Prometheus

Adform, a Denmark-based adtech company, faced a challenge with monitoring its large and growing global infrastructure. Their OpenStack-based private cloud, running on 1,100 servers across seven data centers, required a more flexible and scalable solution to enrich its infrastructure and application metrics. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation's open-source project, Prometheus, was selected to address this need.

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation's Prometheus provided a highly flexible monitoring solution that integrated with Adform's Consul, OpenStack, and Kubernetes environments. The results were significant, providing high availability for metrics and alerting while automating the monitoring process. This automation saved developers an estimated one day per new application on setup and reduced costs for setting up hardware, metrics, and logging by 4 to 5 times.
