Case Study: Tamil Daily Newspaper Achieves Scalable, High-Availability Cloud Migration with Cloud Kinetics

Tamil Daily Newspaper improves content rendering 2x with Cloud Kinetics

The customer, a Tamil daily newspaper and the second largest circulated Tamil daily in India, faced a challenge in improving user experience and reducing downtime for its massive reader base. They engaged Cloud Kinetics to migrate their workloads from an on-premise system and a Limelight CDN to a more robust solution.

Cloud Kinetics migrated the newspaper's infrastructure to the AWS Cloud, utilizing Amazon CloudFront as the CDN, ELB, and auto-scaled EC2 instances running a .NET application. The solution, managed with AWS Code Commit and Code Deploy, resulted in a highly scalable and available environment. This migration led to a 2x improvement in content rendering, over 50% improvement in user retention, near-zero downtime, and an improvement in ad-revenue for the client.
