Migrating Workloads from On-premise System to AWS Cloud News Media

Tamil Newspaper, a leading Tamil daily newspaper in India, wanted to improve the user experience for its large South India audience and reduce downtime across its digital properties. Cloud Kinetics was engaged to help migrate its news workloads from an on-premise setup and legacy CDN environment to a more modern cloud-based architecture.

Cloud Kinetics moved the workloads to AWS Cloud using CloudFront, with a primary site and multiple micro sites routed through ELB to auto-scaled .NET applications on EC2, backed by SQL Server on EC2. Using CodeCommit and CodeDeploy for deployments, Cloud Kinetics delivered a highly available and scalable solution that improved content rendering by 2x, increased user retention by more than 50%, and achieved near-zero downtime while also helping control costs and boost ad revenue.
