Largest Private Electricity Distributor in East India serves 3.0 million consumers with Cloud Kinetics

The customer, the largest private electricity distributor in East India, faced significant challenges in processing and storing vast amounts of data collected from smart meters every 15 minutes. Generating management information system (MIS) reports was a major bottleneck, and storing the large data volumes for extended periods was difficult. They partnered with vendor Cloud Kinetics to leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) for a solution.

Cloud Kinetics implemented a solution that migrated the ETL-processed data to a cloud-native data warehouse on AWS. This allowed for efficient data aggregation and direct report generation via a J2EE application. The results for the customer included the new ability to generate previously impossible reports, a highly resilient system architecture, and the realization of the cloud's fullest potential for business intelligence.
