Orange Makes Novel Use of Cloud Foundry for Best Developer Experience

Orange, a large telecommunications provider, needed a better way to handle growing developer requests for Cloud Foundry spaces and microservices-based environments. As CI/CD and DevOps workflows expanded, provisioning became more complex and manual, creating a challenge for Orange’s platform and operations teams.

Orange worked with Cloud Foundry, using Terraform-based infrastructure as code alongside Cloud Foundry Container Runtime, Cloud Foundry Application Runtime, CredHub, and UAA to streamline provisioning through a write-plan-create workflow. Cloud Foundry’s solution helped make infrastructure more predictable, automate environment creation, and improve developer experience, though the case study does not provide specific quantitative results.
