innogy SE, the German energy company behind a growing eMobility business, needed a way to support rapidly increasing enterprise IT demands for electric vehicle charging services. To keep pace with expansion across Europe and into the United States, innogy turned to Cloud Foundry to help modernize its development and operations approach.

With Cloud Foundry, innogy built a deployment spanning two foundations: one integrated with AWS public cloud services and another connected to its internal OpenStack-based data center. The platform helped the teams speed up delivery, with new databases available in minutes instead of four or five months, and supported six development teams working in parallel while they moved toward a more formal DevOps model.
