Adfinis SyGroup, a Switzerland-based enterprise IT services and solutions provider, wanted to bring Cloud Foundry to customers in a way that felt practical, lightweight, and aligned with its “open, open source” approach. The company found that traditional Cloud Foundry deployments felt too large for many Swiss customers, and its infrastructure team wanted a solution that fit its existing Kubernetes expertise.

Cloud Foundry, through SUSE Cloud Application Platform, solved this by running Cloud Foundry on Kubernetes, giving Adfinis SyGroup a smaller footprint and letting its engineers reuse existing Helm knowledge instead of learning BOSH. The result was easier adoption, better interoperability with AKS and other cloud environments, and the ability to preserve existing functionality while expanding infrastructure flexibility; Adfinis SyGroup and Cloud Foundry/SUSE are also working with Project Eirini to support reuse of Kubernetes clusters for Cloud Foundry applications.
