University of Southern California creates 20,000 program plans with Cloud for Good

The University of Southern California (USC) faced a significant challenge with its outdated and unsupported Advisement Database (ADB), which led to a disjointed advising experience, inconsistent data, and a lack of a comprehensive solution for graduate students. To address this, USC partnered with Cloud for Good to implement a modern, unified platform using Salesforce's Student Success solution.

Cloud for Good designed and built an enterprise-wide advising system on Salesforce, which included Education Data Architecture (EDA), Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. This solution created a single source of truth for student data, automated key processes like advisor assignments and alerts, and empowered students with self-service tools. As a result, USC saw almost 2% growth in student accounts, the creation of over 20,000 personal program plans within six months, and advisors gained unprecedented access to student data. Cloud for Good's implementation provided a holistic view of students and significantly improved the advising experience across the university.
