Sutter Health, a large integrated healthcare network, faced efficiency issues with its outdated and fragmented philanthropy technology. Using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge across 23 foundations led to slow adoption, manual workarounds, and a lack of scalable, data-informed fundraising. They partnered with Cloud for Good to evolve their foundation technology.

Cloud for Good migrated all affiliate instances into a central Salesforce org using NGO Connect, later upgraded to Salesforce for Nonprofits. The solution included Service Cloud for case management, Tableau for analytics, and custom functionality for wealth screening and tribute gifts. This created full data transparency, personalized donor journeys, and streamlined internal processes through tools like Request Tracker. The implementation, supported by a strong change management plan, resulted in high user adoption, happy fundraisers, and the ability for all foundation members to track performance and goals in real-time.
