Reach Out and Read improves gift reporting for 4.4 million children with Cloud for Good

Reach Out and Read, a nonprofit focused on pediatric literacy, faced a challenge with cumbersome and inaccurate gift reporting. Their manual process for tracking funds disbursed to their National Center and Affiliates, which involved text fields in Salesforce or offline spreadsheets, made reporting on grant recipients difficult. They partnered with vendor Cloud for Good to find a better solution using their Managed Services engagement.

Cloud for Good implemented a solution leveraging Apsona's Document and Button Merge tools to automate the creation of a Grant Summary Sheet. This new button on Opportunity records gathers data, including from newly created General Accounting Units (GAUs), and inserts it into an automated Excel template. The solution transformed gift reporting, providing accurate visualization of split gifts and replacing a manual process. This empowered staff with the data needed for donor and grant officer conversations, delivering tremendous value to the organization.
