Ramsey County sought to modernize its digital presence both internally and externally, aiming to put its residents first with a focus on clear education about county services. The challenge was to update their technology and approach by creating a more effective, constituent-focused online experience. They partnered with the vendor Clockwork to achieve this.

Clockwork implemented a comprehensive solution including a website and employee intranet redesign on the Drupal CMS. They simplified navigation, implemented the Cludo search solution, and used plain language to improve content discovery. The results were significant, including a 75% reduction in content and achieving WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards. The project was also recognized with a Northern Lights Award for outstanding work in Minnesota’s government.
