Geocaching launches Lilypad chat app with Clockwise Software and reaches 1,300 downloads in months

Clockwise Software partnered with Geocaching, a pioneering outdoor recreation company, to help them expand their offerings. Geocaching's internal team was at capacity, so they needed a reliable technical partner with deep geolocation expertise to develop a new location-based chat application, Lilypad Chat™, from scratch.

The solution implemented by Clockwise Software involved overcoming significant technical challenges, such as continuous background location tracking and data visualization limitations, using technologies like React Native and Mapbox GL API. The resulting Lilypad Chat™ app was successfully launched on the App Store and Google Play. Clockwise Software's work led to over 1,300 downloads in the first few months and a seamless integration with the existing Geocaching® app.
