Ashby Law - Customer Case Study

Ashby Law is a mid-sized Washington family law firm (founded 2012, ~42 staff) handling roughly 500 active clients monthly. The firm struggled with a private-cloud practice management system that caused frequent downtime, lost documents, halved staff productivity, and low adoption—employees even saved files locally and threatened to quit because the software was unintuitive and unreliable.

In early 2017 Ashby Law migrated to Clio in under 30 days, working with Clio’s migration team to import 3–4k matters and 10k contacts, attending live training, and integrating Clio with Outlook, NetDocuments, QuickBooks Online, and Clio Payments. The move eliminated service disruptions and missing documents, automated billing and accounting workflows (cutting payment processing time to about a quarter of what it was), improved staff adoption, and let the firm focus resources on client service.
