United Health Services, the mental health clinic affiliated with Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY, faced heavy paperwork and scheduling burdens that forced staff to pull charts, chase unsigned progress notes and treatment plans, and even print nightly billing sheets. To address these challenges UHS deployed ClinicTracker (implemented in 2004 and in use by staff since 2005), seeking a solution that would streamline documentation, billing, and compliance workflows.

ClinicTracker provided a clinician-designed EHR that centralized patient records, guided users through required documentation routines, and improved scheduling and billing efficiency. After upgrading to the latest version under ClinicTracker’s support agreement, UHS staff reported faster performance, easier audits, a reduced missed-appointment rate, more time for billable hours and patient care, and a higher revenue stream — results that have led UHS to consider expanding ClinicTracker to other parts of the facility.
