A ClinicTracker Case Study
Family & Children’s Society (FACS) of Binghamton, NY, a multi‑service mental health and family counseling agency, needed to replace an outdated DOS‑based CMHS system with a modern Windows EHR to improve intake, treatment planning, scheduling, and home‑based service tracking while aligning with Meaningful Use requirements. In February 2008 FACS selected ClinicTracker and rolled the system out to about 65 in‑office users and to scheduling for 45 home health aides.
ClinicTracker implemented a full EHR solution—including BillingTracker, Insurance Verification, and Automated Reminder Call services—that streamlined intake, made treatment‑plan creation faster, and simplified scheduling. ClinicTracker’s scheduling, load‑forward notes, templates, scanning, and compliance reporting reduced paper use, saved staff hours (the automated reminder calls alone saved significant time), helped FACS meet NYS OMH paperwork requirements, and enabled the agency to receive its first HITECH/EHR incentive payment.
