Case Study: Sport & Orthopaedic Physical Therapy achieves near-prepandemic patient volumes with Clinicient telehealth

A Clinicient Case Study

Preview of the Sport & Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Case Study

How Paddy Jarit of Sport and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in Connecticut successfully implemented a physical therapy telehealth program for his outpatient practice

Sport & Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, an outpatient rehab practice in Trumbull, CT specializing in sports medicine and women’s health, faced an urgent challenge when COVID‑19 forced clinic closures and disrupted in‑person care. Practice owner Paddy Jarit needed a fast way to continue treating patients and preserving the therapist‑patient relationship despite social distancing.

Jarit launched a telehealth program in four days using the Insight platform and a standardized clinical process—longer appointment slots, clear patient setup instructions and consent, a virtual waiting room, and follow‑up exercise videos. The approach produced strong patient receptiveness and nearly maintained volume (217 telehealth patients in April versus 235 in January), and the clinic has shared its learnings with the rehab community as telehealth adoption grows.
