Walgreens worked with Clinch to help drive in-store traffic for allergy products at the moment consumers needed them most. Because allergies are highly seasonal and local, Walgreens faced the challenge of reaching people when pollen levels and weather made allergy relief urgent, rather than relying on broad campaign timing.

Clinch used Instagram Stories tied to location data and IBM Watson weather data to trigger dynamic ads when local pollen counts were high, pairing allergy messaging with coupons for over-the-counter medicine. Clinch created 160 personalized creative variations and tested different story sequences by market, resulting in a 276% higher click-through rate, 41% lower cost per person reached, and 64% lower cost per click.
