How Lansweeper scaled IT, OT, and IoT insights with ClickHouse Cloud

Lansweeper, a technology asset intelligence platform, needed a faster and more flexible way to analyze rapidly growing IT, OT, and IoT data as customer demands shifted from basic inventory lookups to real-time, customizable insights. Their existing MongoDB and Elasticsearch-based analytics stack struggled with high costs, slow ingestion, and difficulty supporting complex queries across assets, users, software, and vulnerabilities.

ClickHouse helped Lansweeper move to a high-performance analytics architecture, first with ClickHouse OSS and then ClickHouse Cloud, while keeping the Kafka-based pipeline largely intact. With ClickHouse, Lansweeper achieved much faster queries, smoother ingestion, and major cost savings—reporting infrastructure costs at about 30% of OpenSearch with 3x more assets, and less than half of what they paid three years earlier, while maintaining the same performance with less hardware.
