How Harvey uses ClickHouse for proactive threat detection

Harvey, a generative AI platform for law firms, needed a better way to protect sensitive client data as its network logs exploded in volume. Using ClickHouse Cloud, Harvey’s security team set out to move beyond reactive investigations and use network logs for proactive threat detection at scale.

ClickHouse, together with RunReveal, helped Harvey restructure its security data pipeline with primary indexes, materialized views, and heavy compression to make real-time analysis possible. The result was a dramatic reduction in daily log storage from 5.4 TB to just 4.55 GB, along with faster queries, richer log enrichment, and the ability to detect anomalies and threats in real time.
