A ClickHouse Case Study
Electrum, Indonesia’s leading electric motorcycle company, needed a more flexible, efficient, and scalable way to manage the huge volumes of IoT and transactional data generated by its fast-growing fleet and battery swap network. To support real-time analytics and self-service access for business users, the company turned to ClickHouse.
Using ClickHouse as the foundation of its data platform, Electrum built a Kafka-based pipeline with materialized views, MergeTree engines, and geospatial features to process and analyze battery, vehicle, and transaction data in real time. The result was a platform handling over 50 million records per day with sub-second query performance, while keeping infrastructure costs under $500 per month on a single-server setup, and positioning Electrum to scale further with ClickHouse.
