How ClickHouse helps Tydo deliver lightning-fast customer analytics

Tydo, a customer intelligence platform for ecommerce brands, needed a database that could keep up with rapidly growing, high-dimensional datasets and deliver real-time analytics without engineer-heavy workflows. As Tydo expanded beyond Shopify merchants to more than 2,000 customers and multiple data sources, its earlier Postgres and BigQuery setups struggled with latency, scalability, and cost for the real-time segmentation and insights its platform required.

Tydo implemented ClickHouse Cloud as the primary database powering customer segmentation and AI applications, using ClickHouse’s columnar storage, sparse indexing, and ReplacingMergeTree engine to support fast querying and efficient data handling. With ClickHouse, Tydo achieved sub-second filtering and aggregation, improved scalability and parallelism, and reduced operating costs versus BigQuery, enabling faster, more flexible analytics across more than 200 data sources.
