Anlytic.com - Big-Data Analytics at the Dutch Police

Anlytic.com is building a new “Data Hub” platform for the Dutch Police and other customers to distribute data directly across organizations instead of relying on pre-built dashboards and disconnected Word reports. Their challenge was handling highly flexible, structured SQL analytics at scale with strong performance, on-demand scaling, and an on-premise option.

ClickHouse and ClickHouse Cloud on AWS replaced Postgres for Anlytic.com’s high-performance analytics workloads, helping the team keep data close to SQL, run both self-managed and cloud deployments, and scale efficiently. The impact was dramatic: one query dropped from 80+ seconds to 0.3 seconds, the system now processes around 1 billion rows per month, reads over 1.8 TB monthly, and maintains average query times of about 0.3 seconds.
