Entrust, a provider of authentication software, needed a reliable SMS partner for its IdentityGuard product, which issues one-time passcodes to verify users, machines and devices accessing sensitive networks, services and applications. The challenge was delivering secure, configurable OTPs to mobile devices worldwide in a way that supports varied carrier environments and connectivity conditions.

Clickatell developed the messaging capability to deliver single or multiple OTPs directly to end users’ phones, enabling IdentityGuard to issue configurable soft tokens via text. As a result, Entrust now delivers tokens across 1,000+ carriers, supports automatic passcode refresh, and enables out-of-range or out-of-cell authentication to maintain secure access regardless of location.

Entrust
