The National Federation for Community Broadcasters (NFCB) needed a new approach to bolster fundraising for its network of small public and community radio stations, many of which lack technical resources and rely on traditional pledge drives. With declining perceived relevance of public radio and varied station capacity across rural and urban markets, NFCB sought peer-to-peer and 24‑hour (extended to 48‑hour) giving to supplement on‑air fundraising.
Click & Pledge delivered its GiveBig® platform and development support to build individual station pages, lower the technical barrier, and enable a coordinated GiveBig To MyStation campaign while NFCB supplied training and a downloadable “playbook.” The two‑day event raised more than $60,000 nationwide, featured head‑to‑head competition that drove engagement (WXPR raised about $5,000 in one night), and helped stations increase both dollars and unique donors — all enabled by Click & Pledge.
