Dolby Laboratories creates immersive Dolby Atmos visuals with CLEVER°FRANKE across 32 screens

Dolby Laboratories, a leader in audio technology, sought to create a unique multi-sensory experience for a live Dolby Atmos performance by artist LudoWic. Their challenge was to develop a visual element that would translate the immersive, three-dimensional qualities of their spatial audio into a compelling visual art form for an audience at the Amsterdam Dance Event. They partnered with CLEVER°FRANKE to achieve this goal.

CLEVER°FRANKE designed a real-time generative visualization tool that represented Dolby Atmos audio objects as moving circles of light, whose size and intensity were dictated by the sound's volume and position. This solution was displayed across 32 screens to create an immersive window into the soundscape. The vendor's installation was a major success, with Dolby's TV & Music Partnerships lead noting it was considered the best show experienced by many at the event, fully achieving the goal of a unique and immersive performance.
