Sports brand Courir banks on pre-recorded video interviewing to tackle application overloads

Courir, the sports shoe brand with 2,000 employees across 300 shops, needed a faster way to handle a huge recruiting workload as it opened new stores in France and across Europe. With nearly 100,000 applications a year and all screening handled at HQ, the company wanted to centralize candidate assessment and better evaluate soft skills for customer-facing roles. CleverConnect’s video recruiting solution helped address this challenge by replacing much of the time-consuming early-stage screening.

CleverConnect implemented pre-recorded video interviewing, integrated with Courir’s ATS, Talents’in, so recruiters could automatically invite candidates to submit videos and review them in just 3 to 4 minutes each instead of spending 15 to 20 minutes on phone interviews. The result was a major boost in efficiency: Courir received 22,269 videos and cut screening time by 8x, while also improving candidate diversity, hiring quality, and the candidate experience.
