The Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) faced a challenge with its SPARK rail knowledge hub, which was built on an outdated and unsupported SharePoint 2013 platform. This made the site difficult to maintain and provided a poor user experience. To resolve this, RSSB engaged ClerksWell to migrate the platform to Sitecore for greater consistency and supportability.

ClerksWell successfully migrated 22,000 records by developing a custom bulk upload function. They utilized Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA) components to create a user-friendly and visually distinct site, which included custom indexing and filtering mechanisms. The result was a fresh Sitecore 10.2 site that allows RSSB to better facilitate global knowledge sharing within the rail research community, with significantly reduced dependency on external technologies and support.
